3 wishes?? I only want one....to be a world traveler!

Here is one of my favorite things about Europe...all differnet kinds of coffees! Me on a bridge and I don't remember it's name...Heather would be upset.
Budapest...I am in love
This past Feb I was able to go and visit Heather in Budapest. So once I was able to secure the passport and make arrangements to get a flight- first class I might add-- I was on my way. If Dave knew what was best for him he should never have let me leave this country because I now have the itch to see it all. Budapest was not the only place that I was able to visit in my too short of time in Europe. Heather and I caught the train for Vienna as well. Not only did we see almost the entire city in 24 hours but we had a lot of fun doing it in the process. Heather brings out the crazy side of me and seems to make me do things that are a little out of my comfort zone. She says no to nothing and is not afraid to try out unlocked doors. I was a little adventuresome while I was away.

I have to say that I have renewed my love for photography again. With my lovely little camera my parents gave Dave and I for Christmas, Heather and I took over a 1000 pictures. Yes, some of them could have been deleted and yes we had a really fun time with continuous shot for about 20 minutes but that was all apart of the fun. I know with only 3 pics posted you probably would not believe me but you should. Maybe someday I will print all of the pictures and put them into a photo album. I want to pick out the best and frame them. So far, I have about 150 that I love.

I am going back there someday...hopefully if the Lord wills it. I want to go on another trip with my sisters and I would love to go back with Dave as well. He's seen so much of Europe already but we want to experience together as well. Going with Heather and Leslie would be amazing as well doing total girl crazy things.

If anyone wants to add a few pennies to my Europe fund- feel free it would be for a good cause.

Decisions Decisions Decisions

Ok, so I think the decision to get married was the easy part- but let me tell you folks deciding on a date, a place to hold this wonderful event, and how to get the groom to come home is definitely the harder part. This lovely couple is obviously my little sister...I can't seem to call her anything but that even though she bigger than me...and her main squeeze Mike the Marine. I have been helping these past few months to help them make decisions, actually I think the only thing that I do is say "whatever you want" but this week was actually a good week. Officially she now has a dress, the bridesmaid's are ordering dresses- finally in the 4th color and 6th dress, we've narrowed the date to the 20th of September( not for sure yet), stressed my mom out, and realized that prices have increased in the last two years. Overall, I think that its been productive and hopefully the major decisions will be decided on by the end of the month. Man, things might just get crazier!! You might want to pay attention for further updates!!

Christmas Card 2008

Our family decided to try and do some family pictures so that we'd have something for a Christmas card next year. I suppose that we're just going to have a silly picture again that no one understands.

Heather was starting to get annoyed with us because she was having a hard time centering the camera.

This one might have been cute if Momma didn't decide to put the dog ON Leslie's head. We wanted Maggie in the picture cause it might just be her last Christmas.

Oh, this is it. Our Christmas card for next year. Dave is the only one who actually looks normal.

Come oh Come Emmanuel

Christmas has come and gone...man it sure went fast. This holiday season was really special since I was able to spend it will ALL of my family. Both Heather and Michael were able to come home. I think that Leslie was the most excited out of all of us. I am not really sure how Dave and I did it, but we were able to see everyone. We spent Saturday with my family, hanging out with Michael. I did a little "Martha Stewarting" by baking a cake, while everyone else was playing Scrabble. We all ended up at Buffalo's where we ate 100 wings. Truthfully, Dave and Michael ate more than half. :)

Thanksgiving? Where did the time go?

I am thinking about resurrecting these signs so that my long lost sister will COME HOME!! I am not really sure what the exact number of days are until the arival but I will have to look at the calendar and actually set up that countdown.

Its getting to be that time of year again. I really can't believe that Thanksgiving is in 20 days. I am looking forward to spending time with Dave's family up in Chattanooga on Thanksgiving Day. It should be interesting because of all of the different styles of food. I will miss all of the traditional sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, green beans & squash!!! PUMPKIN PIE... I think that I might just have to make my own to totally enjoy.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone... that is whoever reads this :)

Out of my little box

Ok, as most of you all know I was what all my friends called a "band nerd". I actually don't think that is all that bad of a term since I really enjoyed being in band. I wouldn't take back all of those 9-9 practices on Saturdays for anything....well maybe for somethings. Since I have started working at Etowah High School I have left my comfort zone and entered into a new world of CHEERLEADING!! When I got the job I told everyone that I was going to be coaching cheerleading most everyone's response was laughter. Well here I am at the end of the football season. My perspective of cheerleaders has changed some. I am amazed at what they can do and how strong they are. Some cheerleaders definitley allow the stereotype to live on and others love the sport. (yes in the state of Georgia, cheerleading is considered a sport) come watch these girls tumble and do flips in a liberty(a new word in my vocabulary) and you will see how they call it a sport.
